These Rules are valid for the sale of bus tickets at the ticket offices of the bus station part of the ticket sale system of T grupp OÜ, Tpilet self-service machines, online at www.tpilet.ee and on the Tpilet mobile app.
1.1. T grupp OÜ allows carriers to sell bus tickets at the ticket offices of the bus stations belonging to the T grupp OÜ ticketing system, in ticket machines, online at www.tpilet.ee and on the Tpilet mobile application (hereinafter also referred to as the T grupp OÜ channels).
1.2. T grupp OÜ is not a carrier and does not provide transport services to passengers. T grupp OÜ only allows carriers to use the T grupp OÜ channels to sell bus tickets.
1.3. T grupp OÜ is not responsible for the operation of the regular bus services and the level of service provided to passengers by public transport operators.
1.4. T grupp OÜ and the carriers have agreed in their contracts that if the carriers sell bus tickets to passengers through the T grupp OÜ channels, this will be done under the following uniform conditions. This allows passengers to buy bus tickets from different carriers in a simpler and more understandable way. T grupp OÜ publishes the uniform terms and conditions of sale of bus tickets for carriers in the T grupp OÜ channels.
The document that gives the right to travel on public transport is a ticket in the correct form purchased from the ticket office at the bus station, from a ticket machine, online at www.tpilet.ee or from the T-ticket mobile app.
2.2. A ticket will indicate, in a legible manner, the number of the ticket, the ticket price along with value-added tax, the amount of value-added tax, the point of departure and destination of the journey or the journey area, the number of the line, the time, place and date of departure of the public transport vehicle, and the name and address of the carrier.
2.3. Printouts of tickets are accepted upon boarding the buses of all coach companies.
2.4. Tickets shown from the Tpilet mobile app are accepted upon boarding the buses of all coach companies.
2.5. Electronic bus tickets are accepted by all coach companies.
2.6. SMS tickets ordered from Tpilet are accepted by all coach companies on domestic commercial routes.
2.7. A ticket purchased for a specific journey is valid only for the journey for which it was sold. The sale of tickets for Estonian internal bus lines begins a minimum of 10 (ten) days prior to the departure of the bus. The sale of tickets at ticket offices ends 5 (five) minutes prior to departure at the latest; the sale of tickets purchased from www.tpilet.ee, the mobile app and the self-service machines ends 5–10 minutes prior to departure at the latest, depending on the coach company.
2.8. When a ticket is purchased upon boarding the bus at an intermediate stop, no seat availability shall be guaranteed by the coach operator. Boarding the bus after the first stop or departure time indicated on the ticket does not guarantee a seat on the bus. If the bus is sold out, the driver may refuse to pick up the passenger.
2.9. Tickets can be replaced or changed once bought, according to the bus company’s rules.
2.10. If a bus ticket is lost, damaged or destroyed, the passenger loses the right to travel in the public transport vehicle.
2.11. A ticket that is lost, damaged or destroyed will not be replaced, and the cost of the ticket will not be reimbursed.
2.12. A passenger who purchases a ticket for a public transport vehicle and misses its departure loses the right to use the same ticket on any other public transport vehicle. The ticket will not be repurchased, and the cost of the ticket will not be reimbursed.
2.13. Pre-school children can travel only with an adult. When buying a pre-school child ticket from the ticket office, the service provider has the right to check that an adult is travelling with the preschool-aged passenger.
2.14. It is not advisable, due to security reasons, for children under 12 (twelve) years old to travel sitting in the front seats (i.e. seats that do not have a row of seats in front of them) or the seats behind the second entrance/exit of the coach. If a ticket for said seats has been purchased for a child under the age of 12 years, the driver or the customer service employee, depending on the carrier, may move the child and the accompanying passenger on the bus to ensure the child’s safety.
2.15. When tickets are bought from a ticket machine, online at www.tpilet.ee or from the Tpilet mobile app, the carrier will add a ticket-based service fee of sixty-five (65) cents. The carrier will add a service fee of thirty (30) cents when a ticket is bought from a ticket office.
2.16. Children up to 7 (seven) years old, a disabled person up to 16 (sixteen) years old, a profoundly disabled person, a severely visually impaired person, an escort of a profoundly or severely visually impaired person, and a guide or assistance dog accompanying a disabled person have the right to ride for free (zero ticket). A service fee of 1 (one) euro applies when buying a zero ticket from self-service machines, the website www.tpilet.ee or the Tpilet mobile app. Zero tickets are free when purchased at the ticket office.
2.17. Re-selling the tickets purchased through the T grupp OÜ channels is prohibited. A ticket resold despite the prohibition may be cancelled.
2.18. By paying for a ticket, the passenger confirms that they have agreed to the terms and conditions of use of the coach company, which can be found on the website www.tpilet.ee or at the sales office.
2.19. The carrier has the right to impose additional concessions and discounts on the price under certain conditions:
3.1. Upon obtaining a ticket, the passenger must immediately check the correctness of the information on the ticket and the correspondence of the price of the ticket with the amount paid. If the ticket is purchased from www.tpilet.ee or the Tpilet mobile app, the passenger must also check that the ticket opens correctly on their device; any later complaints will not be considered. If the ticket has not arrived at the passenger’s email address or does not open on the device, the passenger must immediately contact the Tpilet service desk at info@tpilet.ee or call +372 681 3409 Mon–Fri 08.00–19.00, Sat–Sun 09.00–17.00 (except holidays).
3.2. The passenger is responsible for the correctness of the personal data (email address, phone number, loyalty card number, etc.) inserted at www.tpilet.ee or on the Tpilet mobile app.
3.3. A discount ticket is valid only with a valid document proving the right to travel with a discount. The passenger must hold a valid document for the entire journey. If the passenger fails to show a valid document to the bus driver or at the check-in, the driver or check-in assistant can request that the passenger buy a new ticket or pay the difference between the discount and the full fare.
3.4. The passenger is obliged to retain their ticket until the end of the journey and show it to the driver of the public transport vehicle, ticket inspector, or official who has inspection authority at their first request; the ticket must not be given into the custody of the driver of the public transport vehicle.
3.5. The passenger is obliged to arrive at the bus station no later than 15 minutes prior to the departure of a bus (regardless of whether a ticket has been purchased in advance).
3.6. The passenger must keep in mind that the coach company has the right not to provide the service if the passenger boards the bus under the influence of alcohol or drugs. The price of the ticket will not be refunded in such cases.
3.7. If the passenger wishes to travel with a pet, they are obliged to read and comply with the specific coach company’s rules for traveling with a pet. Some coach companies (for example, Lux Express) allow pets to travel only in special transport cages. The passenger must understand that the coach company has the right to refuse carriage services if the rules are not followed. In such cases, the ticket cannot be refunded.
4.1. In the case of a cancelled journey, the ticket will be repurchased and the money will be returned.
4.2. According to the rules established by the carrier, it is not possible to return or change tickets bought at campaign price.
4.3. Tickets can be returned only via the channel with which it was purchased, except tickets bought from the self-service machine, which can only be returned to the ticket office.
4.4. Tickets returned at the passenger’s request before the scheduled departure of the public transport vehicle
will be bought back and money will be refunded as follows:
4.4.1. A service fee of one (1) euro will be applied when a ticket is returned.
4.4.2. Ticket return ends 15 (fifteen) minutes prior to the planned departure of the vehicle and later
returns will not be refunded.
4.4.3. 100% of the ticket price will be returned if the ticket is returned more than 24 (twenty-four) hours
prior to the departure and a service fee of 1 (one) euro will be applied.
4.4.4. 60% of the ticket price will be returned if the ticket is returned less than 24 (twenty-four) hours
prior to the departure and a service fee of 1 (one) euro will be applied.
4.5. All processes regarding ticket returns and repurchases will take place during the office hours of the ticket office.
4.6. The return of tickets bought from the ticket office will be based on the original ticket at the ticket offices of the bus stations as part of the ticket sale system of T grupp OÜ (Haapsalu, Jõhvi, Tartu, Tallinn, Rakvere, Võru, Kuressaare, and Viljandi bus stations) and at Narva Fama bus stop ticket offices according to clauses 3.1 to 3.4 of these rules. Tickets bought from Pärnu Bus Station ticket offices can be returned according to their bus station’s own rules. If a ticket is bought from a ticket office operated by T grupp OÜ, it can only be refunded to the ticket offices of the same operator.
4.7. The cost of the returned ticket on www.tpilet.ee or the mobile app will
be refunded within 3 (three) working days to the bank account of the person who paid for the ticket.
4.7.1. Refunding tickets bought by credit cards may take up to two weeks.
4.8. If the journey is cancelled due to a bus malfunction or another reason that the bus company is responsible for, the ticket purchased for this journey will be valid for arriving at the destination point using a different vehicle of the same company.
4.9. Depending on the rules laid down by the public transport carriers, a procedure for returning/changing tickets that is different from these rules may apply. In such a case, the rules established by the specific carrier apply.
1.1. This Privacy Policy describes how T grupp OÜ processes personal data when providing its services.
2.1. When processing personal data, T grupp OÜ is in the role of processor within the meaning of Article 4(8) of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive (hereinafter the GDPR).

The carriers as the controllers determine the purposes and tools of personal data processing.

Therefore, the information provided in this Privacy Policy is more general, and the controller must be contacted directly for detailed information.

6.1. T grupp OÜ as the processor does not determine the purposes of personal data processing or the legal basis for processing.
6.2. The purposes of processing and the legal basis for processing are determined by each controller.
6.3. T grupp OÜ processes personal data only for the purposes set out in the data processing agreement between the controller and T grupp OÜ or determined in the controller’s instructions to T grupp OÜ.
6.4. More detailed information on the purposes of processing and the legal basis for processing (e.g. consent, performance of a contract, legitimate interest, legal obligation) is available in the privacy policies of each controller or by asking the controller directly.
7.1. T grupp OÜ processes the categories of personal data determined by the controllers on behalf of the latter.
7.2. The categories of personal data processed by T grupp OÜ are set out in the following table (non-exhaustive list).
Category of personal data | Description |
---|---|
Contact details | Name, email address, telephone number |
Settlement details | Credit card details, bank account details |
Data relating to the identification of citizenship | Document number, type of travel document, date of birth, citizenship |
8.1. T grupp OÜ as the processor receives personal data directly from the data subject. The data subject submits the data themselves at the ticket offices of bus stations or enters the data themselves at the ticket machines, online at www.tpilet.ee or on the Tpilet mobile app, which is technically managed by T grupp OÜ on the basis of instructions from the controller. Although the data comes directly from the data subject, the collection is carried out at the initiative and for the purposes of the controller.
9.1. The main recipients of personal data are the controllers on whose behalf T grupp OÜ processes personal data. T grupp OÜ will make the personal data available to the controller.
9.2. T grupp OÜ may, with the prior consent of the controller, engage other processors (so-called sub-processors) that perform specific processing operations on behalf of T grupp OÜ, for the provision of the services of T grupp OÜ. For example, T grupp OÜ may use sub-processors to provide infrastructure (servers, databases), customer support software, analytics, or other technical services.
10.1. The deadlines for the retention of personal data are determined by the controller on the basis of the purposes of processing, the legal basis for processing, and the applicable laws (e.g. the deadlines set forth in the Accounting Act). Further information on the specific retention period is provided by the controller.
10.2. T grupp OÜ does not determine the personal data retention periods independently unless T grupp OÜ is obliged to retain personal data by law. T grupp OÜ retains personal data only for as long as provided for in the data processing agreement with the controller or determined in the instructions given by the controller.
10.3. The retention periods of some of the personal data specified by the controllers are set out in the table below.
Personal data | Retention period |
---|---|
Personal data recognised in accounting records | Seven (7) years from the end of the financial year in which the original document was recognised in the accounts |
10.4. After the termination of personal data processing, T grupp OÜ will, at the initiative of the controller, either delete all personal data or return it to the controller.
11.1. T grupp OÜ as the processor does not independently make automated decisions on data subjects. Where the services or platforms provided by T grupp OÜ allow the controller to technically implement automated decision-making processes, the use of such functionality, its underlying logic, the importance of the decisions, and their consequences for the data subject are entirely determined by and the responsibility of the controller. The role of T grupp OÜ is limited to the technical implementation of the controller’s instructions.
11.2. Information on whether automated decision-making is applied to data subjects, its logic, and the possible consequences is provided by the controller.
12.1. Personal data may be processed outside the EU/EEA on the basis of a data processing contract with a controller or on the basis of instructions from the controller.
12.2. Personal data will only be transferred outside the EU/EEA if at least one of the following conditions applies:
13.1. The GDPR gives data subjects (natural persons) a number of rights in relation to the processing of their personal data. In order to exercise these rights, data subjects should first contact the controller. In general, the controller is the carrier who sells a bus ticket to the passenger through a T grupp OÜ channel. T grupp OÜ is only obliged to inform data subjects of these rights.
13.2. Data subjects have the following rights:
13.3. Withdrawal of consent. Where the processing of personal data is based on consent (which the controller is responsible for obtaining and managing), the data subject has the right to withdraw consent at any time. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing that occurred prior to its withdrawal.
13.4. Right to lodge a complaint. If the data subject believes that personal data processing has violated their rights, the data subject has the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority. The supervisory authority in Estonia is the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate (AKI).
14.1. As the purposes and tools of personal data processing are determined by the controller, the data subject must contact the controller directly to exercise their rights under the GDPR (e.g. rights of access, rectification, erasure). In general, the controller is the carrier who sells a bus ticket to the passenger through a T grupp OÜ channel.
14.2. If the data subject submits a request for the exercise of their rights directly to T grupp OÜ, then T grupp OÜ will:
14.3. Such a procedure ensures that requests reach the right party with the necessary information and authorization for making decisions and are consistent with the role and responsibilities of T grupp OÜ as a processor. This avoids a situation where T grupp OÜ would have to make decisions on data over which T grupp OÜ does not have full control. Forwarding the request and giving a notification about it is a confirmation by T grupp OÜ that T grupp OÜ does not obstruct the exercise of the rights but assists with this in accordance with its role.
15.1. T grupp OÜ updates this Privacy Policy from time to time. All amendments enter into force as of their publication on the website of T grupp OÜ. The date of the last update is noted at the start of the Privacy Policy.
